Priscilla Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month for Bible study. Meetings take place in the Conference Room at Trinity (across from the Library) at 7:00pm. Twice yearly, in December and May, the circle meets for dinner at an outside location. Members volunteer to lead Bible study each month.
Trinity's Hulda Circle is a informal group of women of mixed ages, who enjoy getting together about once a month during the school year. They traditionally plan a Christmas dinner party and a May end-of-the-year dinner party, which are both held at local restraunts. Typical monthly gatherings include a short Bible study and fellowship around the table, which we try to keep about 90 minutes in length.
Circles alternate with other groups at Trinity, helping to coordinate funeral lunches and potlucks and other congregational needs.
The Altar Guild helps Trinity by preparing for communion Sundays as well as baptisms. They replace candles on the altar and keep the altars, pulpit and lecturn dusted and cared for. A special cleaning day is usually planned before Christmas and Easter services. If you would like to join us, please contact the Church office!
Last Chapter Book Club
Several years ago a small group of women started meeting to discuss our love of books. We became Last Chapter! We meet the first Monday of the month at 6:00pm at various restaurants. Friendships have formed, opinions run high and our selections take us out of the box over and over. There is always room for one more chair at our table for discussion.
The evening group of quilters, InStitches, meets Thursday evenings at Trinity. Our group started with a variety of skill levels and personalities looking for a way tos erve our community. Quilts aremade and given to the ELCA Northeastern Lutheran Synod convention and auction for World Hunger. Baby quilts are made and given to the following programs: Lifecare Center, Duluth Early Childhood Program, Central High School Habitat, Bethany Crisis Nursery, CHUM, Salvation Army and Project Linus.
For the past three years a quilt has been given to Edgewood Vista made by Donna Hagenson, with a little help from our group. Edgewood then puts it up for raffle and uses the proceeds to help the residents with their verious activities.
We meet on Tuesdays from 9:00am - 11:30am with a break for coffee and goodies. We give the quilts to CHUM, Union Gospel Mission, Red Cross, Renaissance House, Salvation Army, baby quilts to Bethany Crisis Shelter and quilts to the High School graduates from Church. We welcome new quilters!
Adult Forum meets at 10 am every Sunday. It is open to all adults that are open to attend. Join us as we learn and reflect together.
